We are on spring break so we have a lot of time. My daughter Morgan wants comments on a particular photo she likes. She is concerned that our dog received more replies than her basketball picture! :lol: This photo was taken in my parents back yard with a 20D and a 70-200 4.0 L lens.

The pose is great but the cropping is a little off. It's kind of boring having her right in the middle, and cutting the end off her elbow just looks funny.

Just go for the rule of thirds thing. You want her eyes (the main focal point) to be a third of the way from the top, and a third of the way from the right (as she is positioned looking to the left - you also don't want people looking out the edge of the photo). You can achieve this either by framing when you take the photo, or cropping later.
