Methinks that old Celica GT is not sportin the original four banger. :shock: I'll bet it's a real crowd pleaser as well when it comes out of the gates on the rear two. ;)

Thanks for the nice words guys. It has been so long since I took racing photos with decent equipment it is like learning all over again. They say the DRebel is no good for motorsports but I'm reasonably happy with it.

I do some work at heads up races, mostly Outlaw 10.5 stuff. I am new to the Canon 20D but I am learning. Its nice to see another gearhead on the page.

Unfortunately I will not be in LA as I am helping Trish with the Performance World show this weekend as Chris has snuk off South to the race. It's probably a good thing. I don't need to pick sides for the WSR then. Brits? Canadian? and then my American buddies? Safer at home, don't have to upset anyone.

I am going to try some top end shots like that at the next two races I hit. I was thinking 5 or 6 for an aperture setting? If you don't mind me asking what were you shooting at when you captured the Vette shot?

I talked to Chris when he was packing up to head down to LA. I just thought both he and Trish were headed down south. My bad. Hope the show goes well for you guys.


I have yet to meet Chris and Trish in person but they both seem like extremely good people. Maybe someday soon it will happen.

Tom, it was F7.1 at 1/2500 sec according to the EXIF data.

You really want to play, take a summer vacation to Canada for the 2005 CFSCS and we will let you shoot the top end as much as you want to. It's a long hike from San Antonio but you would have fun!!

Do you get the magazine? It's about time I had another front cover shot.

I do get the magazine. I did not get the last issue. Chris said he would be sending it off to me after he returns.

This year is a bad one for me. I will be deploying in May and will not return until the end of the season. Good that I get to do my part but bad that I have to miss so much here in Texas. This should be a very big year for Texas Outlaw 10.5 racing.

Don't tempt me with the Canada trip. I am the type that will find a way. I might be single when I get home but I would find a way! :lol:

I have heard a bunch about the CFSCS. I would love to attend. You never know, next year it may happen.
