View Full Version : My daughter, myself and Santa hats.

Did a little shoot of my 11 month old, and myself with some Santa hats. She was a bit fussy and did not want to keep the hat on for anything, so these were the best of the bunch so far. I was bummed that most of the fully body ones had pieces of limbs missing (and some of these are cut off a bit funny), but I'll take what I can get.
C&C welcomed and appreciated!

very cute child (I can she who she took after)
The skin tones are just a touch off for me. also in the last image, there is a shadow area behind your daughter.
overall, nice images.

Are they all off, or just hers? She does have a yellowish cast to her skin (she eats a lot of Vitamin A filled veggies) that I can't seem to edit out of pics.
I totally missed the shadow, I'll go go back and see if I can edit it out.
Thank you!!

Jenz, her skin looks a touch too yellow, but it may b her real skin.

Cute kid. With kids, I try not to worry about the crops so much, the face is what you want. It tells the story.
I am intrigued by the 3rd photo of you. Has a seductiveness about it.

Great shots. Can you give us a little insight on the setup?
Nice inspiration for my kids and niece!

They are great shots i just think they need abit more colour bringing to your skin and the hat, just a quick edit only 30 seconds in photoshop see if you think it looks any better ?

Oh I love them, especially the originals, the edit seems a bit too contrast-y to me, sorry.

Thank you all!!!
Aj, thanks for the edit, but it has a bit too much saturation for my tastes also.
Samoan, I have a seamless white paper background, ABR800 with moon unit to camera right, and AB400 bounced off an umbrella to camera left. I also have her up on a table, and I sat on the table for my shots.
I still need to go back and see if i can work on that shadow in the last one, but I can only edit at night when the kiddo is asleep, haha.
Thank you all again! You made my day!

Adorable!
Maybe somewhere halfway between the originals and the edit?

Off the table and getting into trouble...

I over did the shadow/highlights here, but I could hardly see her eyes and her expression made me laugh! Hopefully it's not TOO bad.
