Both are good but i like #2 best also ! Sharp ! You have a nice friend to let you shoot throught his scope . What does he have ?

For composition, I like the first one better. For image quality, the second.

We used a Celestron NexStar 5 SE. Hopefully someday we can do galaxies...decided to do the moon for starters!

That is a very nice scope . Great for in between WF images and it's a SCT which chromatic abberation is not a problem . Nebs should look great with this scope . Not sure how galaxies would do but would be interesting to see !
