This is pretty interesting. It's from DXO Labs.
From their site: "A simple, instructive scale developed by DxO Labs to help users easily visualize the RAW image quality performance of today's digital cameras."
Compares RAW image quality with various makes & models.

Actually, that chart does not hold much in the way of surprises to me. About the only one that stood out in my mind as a real surprise is how good the new Nikon D90 is. That is the first 1.5/1.6X sensor to move up into the 70+ realm poplulated by FF and 1.3 crop sensors previously. If you look at the detail, the D90 makes its points in color depth and DR, it is solidly typical for the smaller format for noise.
I have no idea if there methods are relevant or what, but my impression of several Canon cameras matches up to their findings pretty accurately.

//edit lol AND lower then the 20D and the 30D for low light performance. Wtf I thought the 40D was suppose to be a good camera? lol

Remember when grandma said your lens would shrivel up and fall off if you keep on measurebating? Approximately 0.067 of a stop difference. I won't lose any sleep over it.
