these are great mate. what an expression in image 1 lol.
I like what you have did with the second image.

Is that a shodow on the kids face on the second one or is that PP?

I pp'd it like that to show the darkness from the side. I just wanted the front of his face lit up to show the reflection of the light. but the rest of the room dark. Does that make sense? LOL The whole original picture was bright, I ppd it darker and then added the light in the box and the reflection on his face.

yeah it makes sense and i thought that whats you were trying to do.
the light falloff it too abrupt IMO. is there any way you could make the light graudually fall off his face, i think that would make the image that little bit more special : )

Hmmm I guess I could, but shouldnt the light be square since the light is coming from a square object and is not diffused? Just wondering because I am trying to learn to "create" light especially when it is not available
