Did some more processing today, since my daughter was sick and stayed at home. I posted several at Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/articshooter/sets/72157600628546693/), but I only post these 3 here for now.

These are from a great solar outburst in 2006. And this was actually my first try on the Aurora.

Great shots and i'm jealous ArticShooter ! Would it be safe to say it looks like the Northern lights are evident in these images or not ??

Oh, yes very evident. But when you are shooting you don't see the different colors that much. Mainly you see the green. The red shows much better on the camera. I guess it must be the wavelength or something out of my knowledge. But also when you got clouds they tends to filter the color more towards red.
I have noticed that if I aim towards the city, the northern light is lost because of the light pollution, unless it is extremely bright.
