These shots were taken on three seperate days over the course of the last two weeks. They are my first attempts at low light outdoor shooting. C&C appreciated.

It looks to me like focus, and consequently sharpness, is lacking in these.

The lighting works well for me. Pictorially, the third one is my favorite. I would be interested in an outline of how you processed these images.

They are largely untouched...mostly auto exposure adjustment in DPP, noise reduction, and a small amount of sharpening. I've not ventured much into heavy processing.

I like all of these..with one small nitpick, since your first shot was obviously long exp. you should have moved so that your shadow was not in it...:(

But its a small thing..the shots are nice, maybe tone back the red saturation and try and sharpen them up a bit?

I noticed the same thing, but otherwise a nice long exposure;)

I hadn't even noticed my shadow until I posted these....d'oh!

I will try the adjustment of the red tones and sharpening if I get a chance next week.

#2 is my favorite. The water tower really draws my eye across the entire photo! I like them all. I am just getting into low light as well. Just read a good article in Digital Photography Pro about light drawing with a flashlight. Gonna give it a try.

I like these shots. The third one is my favorite in how the sky separates the low light area.

Hinson, these were all taken between 6:30 and 7:00 am. I will continue to shoot these throughout the winter as the mornings grow darker.
