Playing around with lighting the other day using my pit mix, Ryder, as my model. He was so good and even got a treat for sitting so long! :)

Beautiful dog! If I could be so lucky for my dogs to sit still long enough to have a photo. I have to catch them when they are laying on their own.

Thanks. Ryder's 2 now so hes calmed down quite a bit. He actually stayed for about 5 minutes that time.

Thank you! Im pretty new to off camera lighting but I thought these were pretty good. I was pleased.

I am new to photography, but the lighting looks GREAT to me---it looks even and the detail is great----and that is one handsome proud looking dog----he deserved a big treat.

In the second shot, he does look a little bit like he is wanting to tell you, "Please, can I move now?

I really love the first one. And that pup is just adorable. He deserves tons of chicken for being such a good boy.

The lighting is perfect! I really love the first photo, in particular the way you captured both eyes in the light!

jeez my dog is 4 and won sit still for anything, and we have worked on her with this for a couple of years now.. so i dont have any photos of my best friend.
