Hi heather -
Can't afford studio equipment yet, so I used a white blanket hung down from some chairs and I shot laying down on my stomach on the floor. strobist setup is a 580ex shooting through an umbrella camera right and then a bare 430ex high above the subject camera left pointing down. I had to use photoshop to blow out the background and the dodge tool to soften the edges. I'm still learning, but I like the results thus far. :D
