View Full Version : Buddy - Wolf hybrid

Here are just a few recent photos of my beloved 5 year old wolf hybrid, Buddy. He is currently in and out of the vet's office due to a variety of medical issues. Over $2,000 in vet bills thus far ($600 just this morning) and the doctors still do not know what ails him, although they said if he doesn't get better in a week or two, to send him in for an ultrasound to check for cancer. I hope that is not the case, because I don't know how we will be able to afford treatment for that, and I don't want to euthanize him. We're facing foreclosure on our home so vet bills are killing us at the moment. I might try to sell my Rebel XT yet again (I had tried earlier to trade for an 85mm f/1.8) to help offset his high medical costs. Pray for him, he's very loved and it will take a miracle to be able to afford to care for him if he doesn't get better soon.
EDIT: See my post in the second page about recent events. :(

Nice pictures, best wishes to you and buddy. There are grants out there to help off set animal care for those that are having financial problems. Just do a search on the web.
God Bless. Give a hug to buddy from a dog lover and owner.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! Hopefully he will begin to feel better soon. Here are some photos I snapped today of him. He is still a bit lethargic and miserable looking. He's not to thrilled about his pill-cocktail that he has to take multiple times per day either.

Poor guy.... Wrap them in velveeta cheese slices, I have to give my dog glucosamine and asprin twice a day, she hasn't found a pill yet.
Good luck with him

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Unfortunately, while en route to the specialist today, Buddy had a violent seizure in the car and died in my arms. We were approx. 10 minutes from the animal hospital, but it was too late. :( I snapped these photos of him in the morning before we left. I never for a moment thought these would be my last photos of him.

I am sorry for your loss I just went through this a month ago with my friend. I know how devasting it is. They are not pets they are family and the loss is very real. I am still looking for my girl at home out of the corner of my eye. You seemed to have done the right thing for your friend and no one could ask for more. Your dog is beyond suffering now feel at peace. David

Wow...being a huge lover of wolves, I opened the thread and began to read...what I thought was going to be some beautiful pictures (and they are) turned into sadness. Sorry for your loss, man.

This makes me feel very much sorry for your loss and dread the day when it happens to my Rosco boy. You certainly captured some very good images of him.
