just wondering if anyone out there has a 580 and if they are willing to share pictures taken with the digital rebel. I am thinking about ordering the 580EX...

What exactly are you looking for? The 580 is a great flash when used properly. It is a crappy flash when not used properly. If your wondering how the two work together...i dont know how much of a difference your going to notice between any canon flash when used properly.

I got myself the 580ex to go with my 300D - loads still to learn, but the flash seems to take charge and give ace pictures time after time after time...

No great examples to post I'm afraid, but the best thing is, even if I did put some up, you wouldn't know that a flash had been used! Taken quite a few portraits indoors and it just works superbly in mode P (exposure set to 1/60sec) and the other creative zones give different effects that I'm still playing with.
