davis and sanford tripods?

are they good? im lookin at getting one and i found a carbon fiber david and sanford tripod for 200$ at adorama with pan/tilt head
i just am wondering if they are a good company

I have an 40 year old Davis and Sanford tripod which is sturdy enough to support a Volkswagon. Unfortunately, it weighs as much as the VW.
