"Frozen" mode dial on A40

First time poster, so please forgive a dumb newbie question: The mode dial (wheel) on my A40 seems to be stuck (or virtually impossible to turn). Am I missing a step to "unlock" it? Shouldn't it turn fairly easily? Thanks in advance. :)

No, you're not missing a step. There's no lock on the mode dial. It should turn easily.
