Wish I could have gotten the skier's face on this shot, but I wasn't in the best position. Still, I'll take what I got.

This was at a little place in Schenectady called Maple Ski Ridge. And I wasn't skiing (this time -- I love Okemo in Vermont, though) -- I was running an event called The Ridge Goes Red. It was a 24-hour ski and snowboard relay race. Eighteen teams of four people skied or boarded for 24 hours, raising money for the American Heart Association. The top team had 1,313 runs in 24 hours. And that's not a typo!

Hm, I didnt even know there was a ski resort in Schenectady!

I live North... closer to West Mountain but I work over in Troy.
