Is this considered to be a legal copyright? I ask because the company name is actually "Casey Scofield Photography", not "asey Scofield Photography"?

Just wondering if the name matters, as long as you have the © symbol on the photo?

Thanks much!

That'll partially protect your photo. However, you have no recourse (cannot sue) against theft without registering your photos at http://www.copyright.gov/

They take hard copies and/or CD's and DVD's. You can put a few hundred on a DVD and register them for something like $35 or so...

Thanks for the link Jim.

I knew that there was a way to make everything legal...I just couldn't remember how. :D

However, you have no recourse (cannot sue) Well, you can always sue, or just threaten to do it with a letter from a lawyer. You just won't get the high $ value & your expenses paid if/when you win without a prior © registration. Do a search - it's been covered to death.
Add a date to your watermark, as in © 2005 (name)
