First of all for advice on how to enhance the colours in a moon shot, and also for tips on how to seamlessly stitch photos to hide the joins.
As a result I now have an image of the full moon taken a couple of nights ago that I am quite proud of.
Now waiting for different phases of the moon to bring out some of those crater details.

I'd say you did a fantastic job. I like it a lot.
Derek, you should write a tutorial on this!
Very nice work.

I can't take the credit for this one. Bernoulli has outlined the steps needed in other posts on this forum. I just put those steps into practice.

Thanks Sorarse, I'm honored!
Beautiful image, very sharp. It's fun, isn't it?
Did you get that Photomerge feature to work?

Yes it worked a treat thank you very much. I even managed to find another image that allowed me to fill the gap I thought I hadn't covered. Really pleased with the result and can't wait to take more when the moon isn't so full to get some detail shadow in those craters.
