I'm shooting some kids this week, and I'm stumped for ideas for posing them. Need some ideas quick! Any suggestions or examples greatly appreciated. Ages: 11, 8, 2, and 4 months (for a group picture)
Thanks!:)

Kids like to do things. Try to get them holding a toy and smiling if you want a more formal portrait, or just have them play and try to let them forget about you. Search "baby posing tips" on here to find a thread with how to pose babies, I saw one months ago. Just remember to have fun the whole time, though-- Good luck!

Let's make it natural. Choose a scene. Give some props. See their acts and...Shoot ;)

Try the two older kids on low chairs and the 2 smaller children on their laps. Works great most of the time.

Are you doing this for someone else ? I suggest asking them what they like.
90% of my photos are that of my kids - I bought DSLR mainly to have lots of memories as they grow up. I hate artificial, situated photos, and when I photo kids I try to be as sneaky as possible, catching them doing what they normally like to do. Some of my friends are just the opposite way, they don't consider a photo to be worthy of framing unless it's highly formal, look-at-my-nose-say-cheese deal.
