Captured this a while ago using the Panasonic on full zoom. No detail on the planet of course but I was informed on an astro site that I did capture one of its satelites!

Nice one. What's the other tiny blob, right next to Jupiter, inbetween Jupiter and the moon you've highlighted? Bit of noise, or another of the moons I wonder?
I remember when I was a kid, observing Jupiter night after night with my binos, and drawing diagrams of where the moons were each night. I was fascinated at being able to actually see such relatively small objects so far away.
Four of the moons are actually pretty easy, and even appear sometimes on fairly wide-angle shots of Jupiter when exposed for a few seconds.

Probably a bit of noise or diffraction. I doubt the camera lens would be wide enough to resolve anything that close to the planet as distinct.
