Just starting out online....

For the beginner, what's the best online solution for a site which would enable me to sell? Most free site builders I've found limit web space or the number of products you can sell. I hate to commit myself to a big monthly/yearly fee without knowing if this is going to fly or not. I was hoping there might be some middle ground out there. Just wondering if some of you could point me in the right direction.

I use Exposure Manager. Their customer service is great along with the quality from their in house lab. They offer flexibility in design along with a large assortment of products. You set your prices. They charge $99 for the year and take 10% from each sale. This is less than similar sites. Once a month they mail you a check based on sales. The amount has to be over $25 or they will send it out to you the month when it reaches that amount.

There are several e-commerce solutions that fit your description, EM being only one of them. They all have their advantages and disadvantages (like the recent discovery that EM COULD inadvertently reveal your pricing structure to customers).

In this instance, the search tool is a wonderful thing, as this question gets asked at least once a week, and the answers are always the same.
