Go to dell.com, search for Canon 10-22. Apply coupon code JL6MK$330H9ZT4. $604 tax free for most of you. Jeez buy the thing and sell it on ebay for $700!
This will be moved to the want ads section any time, but I know some of you on this board are looking for this lens, and I've NEVER seen it cheaper.

I knew there was a reason I shouldn't have bought my wife those earrings for our anniversary!! What a great price and I'd really love to have the lens but, with the other stuff I've bought in the last couple of months, I want to be alive long enough to get outside and really use the 20D if the snow ever stops up here!! :D

I went back to that link and realized that it was 15% off + $75 off + free shipping.
I applied the discounts to a Powershot G6 to use as a camera to throw in my bag. I got it for $434. No Shipping charges. That's $100 cheaper then B&H. That's insane. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I have nothing but horror stories from dealing with Dell. Computers, laptops, accessories, even a P&S digital camera. I've had problems with 4 of the 7 orders I made with them over the last 18 months.
The last one was the final straw when they cancelled my hard drive order but still charged my card. After a month, they still claimed I never placed an order - even though I had the e-mail confirmation and the charge on my card. To make things straight they offered a $50 coupon. I accepted and re-ordered a bigger hard drive now that the $50 off made them the same price. That order got cancelled too.
I paid off my Dell card the next day and refuse to buy from them ever again.
YMMV.

Well, if it makes you feel better, I've been buying stuff from Dell for the past 4 years now and my most recent purchase was my DRebel. All orders arrived exactly when they were supposed to.

Just got my order confirmation, and it says my goods should be shipped TUESDAY!! Perhaps the yellow ink cartridge I added to the order is holding it up.
Anyone else get an earlier ship date?

It came out to $640 for me for the 10-22 because they charge tax in NJ, but that's still a pretty good deal. $799+shipping from B&H, and $700 on ebay still.
16-35L looks like another awesome deal, at $1199 with free shipping!!!

I got my 70-200 F4L from dell the day after I ordered it; and I paid for regular shipping. Apparently they ship out of smaller places rather than 1 big warehouse; so the smaller Dist centers get the order very quickly; and usually they ship the same day; at least they did for me and I ordered mine @ 3pm PST.

I ordered the 10-22 this morning using the combined sale price and $75 off coupon. I'm also in NJ, so with tax my price was $640. That's $160 less than anywher else I've seen.
I also bought the 17-85IS this way recently, saved about $120 on that one.
As for Dell's shipping, in the last 3 years I've bought 2 computers, a 20D, a 22" crt, a Wacom tablet, the above mentioned 17-85, and some other odds and ends. The only thing I ever had to wait for was the 17-85. It was in short supply everywhere. Took a month, but I got it.

BTW, I bought my 10-22 from them and it arrived in 3 days. With the standard free shipping. I also have (4) Dell laptops. Not a problem one. They can mass produce and sell vast quantities of product more reliably than anyone I know. The Wal Mart of PCs, and they have it down to a science.
I still haven't figured out why they're selling the 10-22 so darned cheap, but I'm glad they are :)

http://pbase.com/k2kvWhich lens did you order? The 10-22? Mine says "PreProduction" on the status, but if I go in it says estimated ship date of March 15th. Did you say you had an inkjet cartridge on there? Maybe that is backordered.

Yeah guys... sometimes their online shipping status is weird, but then you'll get a DHL order number and it's good. But one thing to keep in mind, at least here in North Texas, the delivery date was a Friday and DHL's site showed that it arrived on Wednesday. They'll HOLD the lens until Friday and then deliver it if you don't do anything, so I just drove out there on Wednesday night a couple hours after it arrived and signed for it. Two more days to play :)

I tried to see if the 1D Mk II was 15% off, but that was only the typical 10% off that they usually have. About $3975 including shipping, but that's just about the normal going rate nowadays.

Hi Phil,
Earlier in the day it was "pre-production." Unfortunately, now it says:
"Currently one or more items are backordered. Every effort is being made to complete the order." This shows up in the box with the 10-22 lens, under the heading, "Delayed Items."
In the other box, titled, "Pending Items," it shows the ink cartridge scheduled to ship 3/15.
So, the lens itself is holding up the order. Not happy...
Not much choice, I will just have to wait. Perhaps status will change prior to Tuesday; I'll keep my fingers crossed. B&H is out of stock!
Take care,
Jeff

I know that alot of people (including myself) were basically trying to get something for nothing with a pricing mistake on a 100-400 IS that they listed for $194 (for a $1300) lens. They didnt come through on the lens, but they DID give me a $100 coupon for my "trouble". Approximately a year ago in another pricing error, they offered the 70-200 IS at like 1100 I think, and actually honored that price, although it took a while for people to get the lens.
I have had nothing but good experiences with Dell over the years (bought 4 comps from them), and my only complaint is that sometimes if you need to contact customer service, you may have a hard time understanding their dialect.
Shipping is usually at your door in like 3 days..........go for it. :)

Jack, thank you for the link. I was wondering if they did that since they offer an upgrade from Elements, but I didn't have my receipt from when I bought elements. But I DO have my receipt from when I bought my 20D. Thanks again they haven't shipped my package yet according to my account status so maybe they can make the switch no problem.

You're welcome. Also, you don't need a receipt to get the Canon deal. When you order PSCS, there's a box where you enter the serial number of your copy of Elements. Do that and you get the $299 price. Got mine about a week ago. Full version with manual.

Update to my Canon 10-22 lens order...
I called Dell yesterday to find out when they were expecting more lenses to arrive, and the fellow I spoke with was extremely nice. He said he would put a RUSH on the order for me, and would check it again first thing Monday morning.
When I turned on my computer this morning, I found a shipping notice; just checked my order status, and it now appears that the lens (as well as the ink cartridge) shipped yesterday!
A little bizarre, but that would be great if it's true! Yesterday their site stated that the ink had shipped, but that the lens was on back order. I guess I will just have to wait for DHL to show up.
Now I'm excited!

Jeff, if you go to your order status on the Dell site, there should be a DHL tracking number listed. But it takes a while for DHL to update tracking info.

Hi Jack,
Yes, I found that (thanks!). Both items were indeed shipped yesterday, though separately. The lens seems to have moved further along, even though it was shipped after the ink cartridge. Both packages should arrive Monday AM.
I'm good. I'm very happy so far, though I now realize that the Dell tracking system runs a bit behind reality. Shipping times indicate that the lens had shipped early in the day, much earlier than my phone call. No one knew that it had shipped!
Thanks,
Jeff
