I take it that that's a crop then, since I took a similar shot last night @ 780mm (non inclusive of the 1.3x crop of course from the camera). Very nice shot. Crisp and plenty of detail, looks much better than mine.

not a crop. Taken with 1ds mk III and 600IS around 7PM.

Surprised at the size! If anything the size for my setup should be larger (crop body, and longer focal length)...see my moon shot from last night to see what I mean!

The body he used has 21mp, a lot of resolution. Anyways, great shot!! Love it. :)
