I have to admit...this is a 10gig H/D that i've had layin in my room for years now.

The 250 that screwed me over has been formated and is now regaining my trust...they're all related :-)

Remember the rules from when we thought that nuclear disarmament was actually going to happen….

Trust and verify!

TQ.
That knife seems to show up in a lot of your photos. Do we need to worry?

I used to take old hard drives to the range every now and then,...

You know those old Quatum Bifoot hard drives that needed a 5.25" bay?
They can stop an averadge load .44magnum!

I'm not kidding... never made it through the second platter.

Hard drives intreague me to no end...this is the second one i've been in. The platters in a hard drive have got to be the most beautiful thing in consumer electronics. Until of course you bash them with a knife and a screw driver

I think everyone feels that way sometimes. Thinking of the replacemnt cost is whats kept me from doing it, hehe.

Of course, you could have just taken the cover off and used it as a still life subject for years to come......

Nah, kill it I say :D

(As an aside, I had the pleasure of throwing a Digital MicroVax from the eighth floor of an office block once. I say "a", but it was a total of seventeen of them in the end, all on to solid concrete. :) But I still have the eightenth under my desk, it keeps my feet warm in winter and is still useful for number crunching)

This thread reminds me of office space, and a little helpless printer.
