Here is my shot of the big moon from my deck in Ketchikan, AK. I have only tried moon shots 2 times before and neither time did I do what I read on here, DDDDUUUUHHHH

Didnt like them so I decided to follow direction, and it worked, IMAGINE THAT!

Anyway, ISO 100, f11, at 800mm (100-400L IS with the 2xTC) 1/200, on a tripod.

CC please and instruction on how to improve...

Now in sky high forum :)

Good shot with 100-400 + 2x combo, maybe a tad more sharpening ...

Try Custom sharpening in PS and see if this helps some . Keep #s' low , 1 on left side and 1 or 2 on the right side . Looks good already tho !

David -

You have a great starting image. One thing you can do to punch it up is to take the levels control and drag both ends in, particularly the dark one, to hug that histogram peak a little tighter. I did that and gave it just a tad of sharpening. I think Elements has a levels control or something like it.

I didn't touch the color.

I will try to duplicate this at home on elements, thanks so much!
