I used this forum to research purchasing a camera bag and was pointed into the direction of this Kata bag :D. I googled for prices and found it for $59.95 at B&H and free shipping.

black only color on sale. I don't know how long it lasts or if anyone is interested. Just though I would share.
I hope I like the bag as much as folks on this forum. Thanks.

You will love the bag! I have one, and its great... Be prepared that all of you gear might not fit in the bottom section. I have to put my 70-200 in the top section along with my 430ex. Also, its a bit more cramped if your 20D is gripped...
Thanks for sharing the deal though, its a GREAT price, and anyone with a small to mediium sized kit should seriously consider this bag. Another plus is it fits in ALL airplane overhead compartments, evn the small CRJs...

Also, I just saw you have the Mini Trekker, funny, because I just moved from the dr467 to the mini trekker to get some extra storage and the ability to store with my 70-200 attached. I will still keep the Kata for day trips and hikes though...

The mini trekker is great but huge and heavy. I was looking for a smaller alternative and a bag that did not have to be laid on its side to access. I like the DR-467 for the additional small stuff storage (cell phone, lipstick). I was curious where my 70-200 was going to fit!

The ability to open the bag while standing up is nice...Also, it is a bit more secure than the MiniTrekker. I say this because I have picked up the bag and walked several yards
with the bottom compartment unzipped and nothing fell out! I dont think we would be so lucky with the minitrekker...
One watch out though...Once i had the bag loaded very full and was running to catch an international connection at the airport and the top of the bad worked itself open and dumped my flash on the ground...luckily it wasnt my 70-200! So just be aware if you bag is stuffed full and you have to run (unlikly). I found that if I zipped the zippers to one side as opposed to bringing both to the middle it wouldnt/couldnt work itself open on the run...

Thanks for the tip. I will watch the zippers. I like the idea of this bag for events like holidays and such when I don't need everything! I have the lowepro sling but it is too small for camera, 70-200, flash and optional other lens. So, perhaps this will be the perfect "tweener" bag.

HaHa, we have THE EXACT same bag line up then...I think the perfect bag is a perpetual search, but I have been very happy with those 3 bags! Good Luck!

I have the 465 in the light green-tan color and it's a beautifully made bag. I use it whenever I go hiking.
