I intend getting the 50D soon, the lens that will be on this, 90% of the time, is the 24-105. I have been led to believe that this combination may not fit into my Lowepro Slingshot 200, can anybody confirm, or otherwise, that this is the case?

Thanks very much in anticipation

Hi Pete
I have this same combination, be it with a 40D,24-105
Providing the 50D is not bigger it will fit fine.

Great!! Thanks very much Spud, the 50D and 40D are identical in external dimensions. That's saved me a few more quid!

24-105 + 50D --> 100 AW slingshot works....but just.

Thanks again YP5, it's not just saving money, I really like this bag and wouldn't want to have to change it! I tried the 300 before plumping for the 200, whilst, obviously, you can get more in it, I thought it was a bit too cumbersome and uncomfortable, but then I'm only a small guy.

PeteFor the record I used to carry a 20D/10D with a 70-200 f/4L mounted and it would just fit with a little expansion of the loose areas. That's longer than the 24-105 and that's the only dimension that's limited over the 40D/50D. The 24-105 shouldn't have any problems. According to B&H specs the 70-200 is 2.6" longer than the 24-105.
