I have finally had my fill of IE8 crashing and decided to try firefox3 ( I know it shouldn't be such a monumental decision but somtimes change is not an easy decision) Let's hope this improves my browsing pleasure:)
So...What plugin's add on's etc should I hunt down that are photo related?
I need an Exif viewer, I have been using opanda on IE8 but am open to options.
But what other utilities have you found useful?
I may be mistaken but isn't firefox color managed...Will I notice this in browsing? I have a general understanding of color managment but not how it translates to web browsing photos ???
Why do I feel like I just joined the Marines, "The few, The proud, The Firefoxers!"

AdBlock
Download Status Bar
FF is color managed (ver 3 at least)
Also FF has more browser market share than you might think:
Nov 2008
IE7 - 26.6%
IE6 - 20.0%
Chrome - 3.1%
Fx - 44.2%

Adblock Plus (not adblock)
Flashblock
Dictionary Search
Color management is turned off by default, google or use search here to work out how to turn it out. It's easy enough.

I got Fxif as well as exif viewer 1.45...Exif viewer shows a lot more info!
I also found a "Save image in folder" utility...very useful, Double click on an image and it is saved in the specified folder.
I'll go hunt down Adblock plus and status bar...Both sound useful.
yeah the first thing I did was turn on color managed...And did a little tuning I seen refrenced in another thread around here
So far so good, Seems pretty easy ...Got to get used to the miracle bar & bookmarks, little diffrent structure but other than that If i'm not looking at the interface you wouldn't be able to tell I had switched. No crashes yet, but it will have to prove itself more than a couple hours in this department.

My "must have" Firefox add-ons are as follows:
AdBlock Plus
Colorful Tabs
CoolIris
CoolIris Previews
Highlighter
IE Tab
NoScript
TabMix Plus
For my EXIF viewer I use a small application called PhotoME; its not a dedicated EXIF Viewer but it gives much more information than any EXIF Viewer I've tried: http://www.photome.de/

WOW...that's an exif viewer(excuse me editor), I really like the histogram feature. No need to open in photoshop to check histogram.
i haven't even got to the others you recomend but I'l definatly check them out!
I think I like my new browser...

I can't surf without FF3 anymore. I just love the additional functionality with all the awesome plugins. Most have been listed although I would warn against going too crazy with plugins. They all consume extra resources and a lot of times can be cause for memory leaks which end up making FF consume tons of memory over time.
I would also highly recommend "BugMeNot" which is an awesome plug-in so you can right-click and login into many of the free sites with annoying registration forms (eg: NewYork Times). Saves me a lot of time and hassle.
AdBlockPlus is amazing. The other day I hapenned to use IE and I couldn't believe how ugly and jarring some of the webpages I visit regularly looked (due to the crazy amounts of flash-based advertisements used these days...wired.com being a prime example)
Also "Tabs Open Relative" if you want newly opened tabs opening adjacent to your current tab (as opposed to being opened as the right most tab. Don't know why it isn't default FF behaviour).
I just wish FF had the feature in that each tab was independent (like Chrome) so that one of them crashing wouldn't take all the other tabs with it.

Welcome to 2002... Ain't that the truth, I'm typically about 6 years behind the times! That made me laufgh at myself.
Let me just say what an awesome browser...Wonder why I resisted it for so long.
I appriciate ALL the sugustions, All have been investigated and most have been added.
And if Anybody has been thinking about changing but been reluctant... Just try it, I think you'll be amazed!

I've been using FF for several years for personal use. At the office I have to use IE7 because our company website and intranet plus most online apps used are designed for IE.

You can also download themes (how it looks) for FF which are very cool.

If you use multiple computers, Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer is essential. You'll never have to worry about backing up your bookmarks again.

Should do the trick for the toolbar: Just drag 'n' drop:

Oh goodness, Foxmarks is absolutely a God send! I work on six different computers (Mac & PC) and before Foxmarks it was chaos for me. Now, I just have to remember to sync every once and a while.

This might be of help then: PW import / export (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/12/01/firefox-passwords-exporter-and-importer-also-for-thunderbird-songbird-and-flock/) (never tried it)
Or this: Foxmarks (http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/10/27/foxmarks-now-synchronizes-firefox-bookmarks-passwords/)
