I keep hearing that as we move closer to Christmas in the USA that they expect prices to fall. Can we expect that for the G10 at reputable dealers as well ? Perhaps after Christmas sales will be better ?

I ordered a G10 from dell.com last week for less than $400 but it required a coupon which has since expired.

Up here in Canada (Vancouver) it is regularly advertised at CAD $449. At current exchange rates it should be worthwile for USA residence to order it from a Canadian supplier.

Amazon had the G10 for 399 with free shipping and no tax to most states.

circuit city had a online coupon/in-store pickup deal last week where the price of the G10 was 360.

Gee, I went into ciurcut city and they didnt have a G10 in sight :(

I bought mine at FutureShop here in Canada for 399$CDN which is about 325$US.

Tho I am not a P&S fan, I recently decided I wanted one for a light hiking camera for a reasonable price. I decided to go with a used G9. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. However, for the heck of it, I’ve been watching the price of the G10. Below are the prices I’ve noted, all from B&H, which is currently offering free shipping for the G10.

$499.95 on 10/15/2008
$455.95 on 11/11/2008
$429.95 on 12/04/2008
$419.95 on 12/18/2008

Was in FutureShop yesterday returning some boxing day buys and I saw that the G10 is now priced at CDN$529. This must be their regular price.

Well, that would depend on whether you live in Buffalo or San Diego! :)

I don't know if FS ships to the US but you can check them online at futureshop.ca
