well, this is my second ever baseball game that I have shot and I think the images came out pretty good. The lighting started excellent with the sun overhead but then as the day drew later the sun was behing the player and lighting their backs instead of their faces. All shots are with my Digita rebel, 75-300 IS (don't know why it gets so many bad reviews), and ISO 800, f/4-5.6, and 1/2000-40000.

The game was pretty good. The visitors (Valley) had a first baseman with only one arm, it was really cool to watch him play, he was a pretty good thrower as welll as an excellent hitter. I believe he was 1-3, 2 RBI, pretty amazing with only one arm. We (the Belen Eagles) lost our first ganme of the season wiht a final score of 10-9. Well here are the puctures, hope you enjoy them. Comments and suggestion are encouraged.

Excellent. Numbers 2 and 3 are hard shots to capture. My only suggestion would be to have focused on the baseman in #1 rather than the pitcher since that's where the action is and his is the face you got.

Thanks for all the compliments, much appreciated.

In my opinion, #1 is one of the best sports pictures I have taken and I'm only 16 y/o (yes, I know I am a really young guy). There is just something about it that I really, really like. It has all three players in the frame and shows the ball, who threw the ball, who's gonna catch the ball, and why the player threw the ball. Kinda tells the whole story without any words.

I agree ... I like it for the reasons you express. Well done.
