Show no mercy for Canonbitch! hahaha, I'm sorry, it just had a certain ring to it
The first one just doesn't make me think about it too much. The second one makes
me wonder how it would look if the guitar player was done in complete black, hmmm.
Maybe make your web page in your siggy a linky so some of us lazy folks could
just click it instead of all that cutting and pasting and stuff. ;)

First one looks a little too bright and washed out to me.
Second one looks like he's playing the exact guitar I just bought last month...lol

The second one is either under exposed and shows too little detail in the player or is overexposed and shows too much detail on the player. I think he should be totally black.
And I'm not going to make the effort to go to your site so my loss.

I like them both. Not that I'm blown away, but I can't find find anything that's "wrong" with them. The first could maybe use some deeper blacks. I like the guitar player the way he is! MIght like it better if he was more to the left of teh frame.

I think #1 has potential if you are willing to help the sun a bit. When doing this kind of shot I find the sun looks better if you shoot at f22 or f32 - it creates some very nice starburst effects - after all the sun is a star... I don't like the vignette in the upper left corner and I think the scene could have better contrast/saturation.
I think #2 would look great square, cropping off almost all the left 1/2.
Nice shots Bitch --- Sorry I just couldn't resist, you obviously have a skin thick enough for some joking.

Just to mind you, I only have Canon 450D and 18-55mm zoom lens, therefore, I'm limited, but soon I'll get 50mm f/1.8, so I'll be able to create some magic! :D
Thanks for comments and for the tips, I'll keep them in mind next time
So, what about this?

Swing, I obviously do have a skin of an elephant to put such a nickname. :D

I think the square crop is much more powerful. I like it; but you darkened it and I think your original level of light was a little better.
Nice work.

I like the 1st shot a little better now but it doesn't make me think about too much,
maybe it's not dramatic enough for me! The 2nd one edit draws me into the image more
and I like the idea of knocking off the left side. Sweet
