Hello, all,

This weekend is the World Rally Championship (WRC) here in México, so I will go there and try to capture a lot of moments!!

Any recomendation? On this kind of pictures?

I will be taken both my cameras, 35mm (Rebel XS with 75-300, 28-105) and my Digital (S70).

Any Advice is welcome!!

Panning my friend, Panning! Move with the car if thats the look you are going for. Also, if you want to stop the car still, make sure your shutter speed is high, but mind your aperture too, I wouldn't go below 11. Others have their own opinions, It just takes a bit of experimentation.
Get there early, and pick your spot. it's always good to get a programme and plan around that. Sometimes its nice just to pick a stage that they travel through twice, and ease yourself into it. sometimes better than driving round like a headless chicken trying to beat them to the next stage.....you can't win.
Try not to change lenses too much, being in Mexico, there will be a lot of dust, and it tends to make a mess of your CCD or Film. Take a lens brush or a can of Kennair, but try not to blow dust into moving parts or buttons. but you know that.
One final word of advice, if you are standing in the middle of the road, and some guy blows a whistle or airhorn, run like the wind Amigo, cos you are about to get a lens full of Citroen!!

BAD NEWS...

At the final moment, I couldnt go the WRC here in México... its a shame...

It was only a 4hr drive, but we have an urgent work to do at the office, and well... the client rules. Nothing we can do... just seat back and wait for the WRC news at internet, and I lost the opportunity to go there, and enjoy that great motorsport!

there will be another oportunity next year... I hope. :(
