Well we have not had those in these parts since the mid-seventies. Perhaps we should bring it back . . . na. We are civilized now. I stopped into Logan for some gas and happened to drive by the new jail complex. They had four of these guys out breaking up ice and cleaning the road off. They looked a bit dismayed when they saw me 'shooting' them, lol. The guard just barked at them to get back to work, that has to suck. So remember if you do the crime . . . be prepared to do the time. Or something like that. In these parts the old timers just hung them as needed. So . . . enough said.

My hubby was a deputy sheriff for 32 years...now retired for 1.5 yrs... Do you mind if I save this shot and print it? I know he will love it as much as I do... (I am sure my hubby would have loved the hanging thing...it's just not okay around these parts:).)

They really wear clothes like that?
A couple years ago I saw a bunch of guys doing some cleanup work near Jackson Lake in the San Gabriel Mountains. They were all wearing orange jumpsuits, which I assumed was for visibility, since they were near a highway. When I got closer and could see what was written on their clothes, I realized they were prisoners...

Great shot... The combined elements make the shot...
The zebra outfit will be a bit of camouflage in the snow, when they run away. Do they were these orange hats to be easier found again ?

The "chain gangs" here in Colorado wear all orange. I like the stripes myself.
Maybe the sheriff's department could use a copy for advertising :-o
Nice shot.

We still wear the 'black and white' stripes . . . never thought of it as camoflouge in the snow. However without a coat, I don't think they would last long. Their choice one could suppose. They all have orange knit hats just like mom makes.
Maureen your use is fine.
I had to choose a shot with my 'subject' turned away so as to not be required to request a model release, <grin>. One would hate to 'break' the law you know . . .
Thank you guys, for enjoying this slice of life with me. A good example of why you should always pack your camera with you.

Really like the shot.
As was already stated, all elements together make up a good shot.
Best regards,
Andy
