D30 PC sync failure

Has anyone experienced a failure with the D30 not firing studio strobes through the external pc contact? I hooked up my 1N and it fires fine but the D30 failes to fire the strobes, any ideas? or is this a problem with the camera? Thanks....

did it show an error when you fired it , also check you 55o or what ever other flash you are using to see if it will still fire it . What studio flashes are you using. I believe Canon suggest when using studio strobes to use a Radio slave to fire them due to voltage and polrity might be reversed. Hope you din't fry anything. Good luck
