Bounced my monolight at 35% off the ceiling. 100 ISO, 160 at f8. Did some contrast correction in pp.
I like this one ok but...
maybe I should have used a reflector to the left for fill?
The eyes are lost for the most part although catchlights are there..
Thanks.

I think I need to dial down the power and use fill. Fortunately I have a 430ex on the way that should help with these issues, of course I have to learn how to use it.

Might be my eyes, but it looks like the camera focused on the doll and not the face.
I just had the same problem with some of the shots of my daughter and her friends before their semi-formal. I was concentrating on light, composition, poses.... I completely missed the focus square locking on the background.... DOH!!!

I agree but it wasn't the camera. Most likely me.
I think I'm shooting this one again. He is very cooperative so I am more worried about my performance than his.
