not L's, but i think some of sony's lenses are white.

Come to think of it, I'm kinda shocked this didn't happend years ago.

Pink/lavender/purple DSLR = the typical prosumer woman's prime choice in camera.

Holy hell, as someone who's extremely anal about their gear I couldn't possibly own a white body. That thing would come back from the races looking like a typical black DSLR.

I thought Pentax gave up on the whole limited edition after the brown and gold K10D...

That's funny. The white emphasizes how plastic it is. Kinda like my mp3 player's sheen.

It's nice in a Stormtrooper way like the author said, but the reality of owning one wouldn't really be so sweet after the honeymoon phase. If you have a grand to blow, it'd look cute on display in a case, but that's about it, IMHO.

My girlfriend would KILL for a pink DSLR... and if it had pink lenses she'd love it even more.

She just spent $400 on a vacuum cleaner because it was pink!!! But it is a SWEET vacuum cleaner!

About 6-8 months ago a friend of mine asked me for advice on what P&S to buy. I spent a few hours scouring the net for reviews and such. I recommended a few models based on image quality and overall user satisfaction.

She bought a completely different one because it was pink.

Needless to say I don't recommend cameras to friends and family anymore. And I don't recommend anything to her anymore.
