Hey all, I would really appreciate some C & C on this shot. Thanks

Too much negative space.
I'd bring the shot in closer...up to her shoulder line?
Wrinkled shirt.

A little more fill on the shadow side would be nice, unless you are going for dramatic... but that type of lighting would be more fitting for a different style of posing/wardrobe. :)

No white shirts, it is like doing high key with black shirt. Doesn't work for me. Sorry.

Blake,
For me the image looks a little flat. I hope you don't mind but I did a few enhancements of what I think would make it better. I know everyone has an opinion of what works and what doesn't but this is my idea. Here it is....

Firstly, I repositioned the lady to the right of the shot, as she is looking out to the left of the frame, so would make a better voided space on the left of the photo. I also adjusted the colouring, by lasso-ing the face, and adjusting the levels slightly to bring her out a little more on the dark side. I then set the levels to black so the background was as black as I could make it, and did the same with the whites. Finally I ran a touch of sharpening.
If I where to shoot this shot, I would have had a reflector bouncing that light back into her dark part of the face.
I hope this helps
Cj.

Nice edit, indigobox. I think it would also be improved if the line between the subjects's shoulders was at about 45 degrees to the shooting angle.
