I've been using the raw conversion beta version on Photoshop CS.

Is it worth loading the Digital Photo Professional 1.5 that came with the 1Ds Mark II?

By the way, there's 2.4 (not beta, the official release) of ACR for Photoshop CS.

I prefer that over DPP, and I still preffer C1 over both.

How about the recently updated RAWShooter from pixmantec?

Thanks, Cm. Can you tell me, is C1 Capture One? I think I have that, as I purchased it when I had the D100 about two years ago. I thought that was for only Nikon.

Yup, it's Capture One. It supports Nikons as well, and a whole whack of other cameras. They kinda screwed it up a little in the latest version though IMO (3.6)

I believe, though I may be mistaken, that I have version 3. Does that sound right? I purchased it about two years ago, right after the introduction of the D100

Maybe 1.3?
I think they had 1.3, then they 1.3.1, then they jumped to 3.5 I think

I have recently been using RawShooter Elements 2005 that is available as a free download now, but will eventually go commercial. I believe it was written by the same people who wrote Capture One and they are using the free download to promote their product. Once development is complete and they have established a customer base it will no longer be free.

So far, I have found this to be one of the best conversion programs I have used, being fast, giving very good control and producing good results.
