The demand is to big for Canon (EF 100-400 IS L)

Rang-up to place a order for a new EF 100-400 IS L today.And was told that cuz this lens is such a big demand,i'll be put onto the waiting list(i'm number 16).Because Canon CANOT cope with the demands of this lens(just shows how good this lens must be :cool: ).

The same goes for every shop in the UK.Everyone is waiting for new stock to come in from Canon.The chap on the other end of the phone said,hopefully they're will be 40 coming in at the end of the month for them to sort out there orders(hopefully mine aswell :D )but i've been here before when waiting for my 20D :confused: .

So if you want that lens be prepared to wait.

Oh the same goes for the 20D aswell.

Unfortunately where popular Canon gear is concerned,. Canon UK allways seems to get the short end of the stick,.. or the long end of "The Shaft"

I got my 100-400L just before christmas.....£830 delivered..:D

I've been watchin this... B&H ran out of them for a couple weeks as well, but they're back to "in stock" status now :D

It happens from time to time... I remember them running out of 70-200mm f/4s for a while and there was a period when you couldn't get 420EXs for love nor money. Canon UK appear to have no idea how to run a supply chain.
