Going to be in Las Vegas this coming Sun.-Wed. I have been there many times but was always too busy to shoot anything:lol: This time it's all about the photography. Will keep the wife occupied with her Keno machines..LOL.

Want to take all the Las Vegas cliche shots including looking down the strip from the highest vantage point. There is the question. Are there any hotels you can get to the top of to shoot the strip? I know I can get to the top of the Stratosphere for $10 but heard they won't allow tripods up there.

Any advice or info you can throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

up the Paris tower is OK, I don't know about tripods though.

It has a good view of the fountain show across the street.

The House of Blues Foundation Room on top of Mandalay Bay has awesome views from the south end of the strip. I don't believe they will allow tripods though... :-(
If you are interested in any outside of Vegas type of shots I would recommend Red Rock.
