At 6:00am this morning the humidity was @ 89% and it was 40-degs so looked liked fog . I thought this colorful sky looked like Auroras but no...:( , just man-made from street lights and a storage company in the background behind the houses . Only wish to see Auroras someday  . Mounted the 300D on a tripod and took some panaroma shots and stitched 4 images making this one image . Each was 3.2-sec , f/5.6 , 800 ISO , with the 18-55mm @ 18mm . Comments welcome !

Wow, lovely colours. I went out for a drive Tuesday night when it was quite foggy, and drove through a village with a football stadium, and the floodlights made it look like the whole area was engulfed in a dome of water...I wish I'd had my camera with me.

Nice pano Ron. The colors are great.
I live in an area that has boomed population and development wise in the past 10-15 years. The difference in the night sky is sad to see. Even 6 years ago I could set up at home and the sky wasn't bad, but now I don't even consider it.

lol i had to use my gorillapod in a weird position (with legs bracing against the window side panels) to get it. not to mention i have to cover myself and the camera up with a blanket to reduce interior reflections on the windows.
hahah good thing people were all asleep and good thing i was sitting in premium economy with more room to move around lol.
but yea, take that flight. it was quite the experience and a very nice surprise when i looked out the window in bored as ive always wanted to see the aurora too
