Selling Photos (part 2)

Hi guys. Im an amateur photograper lol. duh! well to get to the point, i want to do a little more with the hobby to try and sell some of my images. im not so sure about stock companies. I was thinking about newspaper but i have no ideas. i dont know where to start to try to sell or how to go about it? any input would be helpful and greatly appreciated. thanks!

I recently sold my first picture to a newspaper. I got some really good pics of a large fire, called them up, and asked if they wanted them. Theys said send you best 6 thru, I did, they bought one. Simple as that :)
