My new motorsport season starts this weekend so these are the last of my 2004 season images I'll post. They were done as a test of RawShooter and I am quite pleased with the results. The first image has what looks like noise, it isn't, it is rain, and lots of it.
For the non-Brits, name the car in the last shot.

Keep an eye on this space for the 2005 season, including British SuperBikes.

Its a Marcos!
High light above to see answer ;)
Very nice car, they used to be powered by Triumph 2500TC engines so they have to be good :D

Nice shots Ken. How do you rate RawShooter against ACR or Capture 1 for workflow, accuracy etc.?
Where does the start of the season take you to this weekend?
Cheers,
Simon.
(PS look forward to seeing the Superbikes!)

They've been powered by all sorts of things over the years from Ford 1600s to thumping great Rover V8s. The old Volvo powered 1800GTs were particularly nice and very nimble. Few cars of their period could keep up with them round a twisty circuit!

Very difficult to use them for moving subjects as the reflected light changes faster than you could turn a polarizer. The answer is, generally no.

Too early to tell. It seems to get better detail out of shadow and blown areas than ACR but is slower than C1 for screen updates when moving around a zoomed image. As I don't have any processing urgency for this weekend's shoot, I'll probably do the same run with it and C1. I don't like ACR at all and think it is only popular because most of the copies being used out there are not legit.
