Hello;

Just acquired my 'new' (read used) 1D and love it........however, the learning curve is MUCH larger than my old DRebel. I didn't get the software/driver CD with the package but I have downloaded all the available drivers from the Canon site. My question for 1D/1DMII owners is which software package do I use to load a new tone curve into the camera. I have the firewire driver installed and the computer see's the camera (within PSCS) but I think I need some other software that will let me change this setting. In the 1D manual it only briefly goes over tone curves but in not too great of detail. Any help is much appreciated!!

You need to use EOS Viewer Utility or DPP to load the tone curves. Both of them have a button to click for camera settings when teh camera is connected and with that you can set the personal functions, the tone curve, different parameters and etc.
