I just wanted to inform the forum that my brand new DC300 housing began leaking on it's first dive.
We were down just eight minutes at 25 feet when I noticed water on the camera. We imediatly ended the dive and I am returning the housing for a new one.
I don't think that the camera was harmed but we don't need that to happen again.
Tell your horr stories of housing floods if you have any.

P.S. The pictures that I did get from the s40 couldn't be better. :)

Arggg...the above is a function of fat fingers and a small laptop! To the point: Do you think the leak was "operator error" or equipment malfunction? At any rate I think I'll test my new 600 case WITHOUT the S230 before I put it in Harms Way.... Sorry about your mishap but thanks for the heads up. BJ

No, I made sure that it wasn't operator error. I had maintained the main o ring just befor the dive so I knew it wasn't that. But more to the point, I could see the water coming in from the multi directional buttons on the top right of the housing.
I will also test the new housing w/o the camera to check for leaks. Good luck with your new housing BJ, and good diving.
