I promised you all some photos taken with my new Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 lens. The photos are resized down. In terms of sharpness this lens leaves anything that I have ever used for dead. This is one great lens!!!

Well, after dropping eight large, very large on the 1Ds Mark II, time to start saving my pennies for that lens, that's for sure.

Thanks for all your comments! :D In response to RFMSports post, this lens is and I quote "Huge. Gigantic. Monstrous" and I add, very heavy. I have been using it with a monopod which makes it a lot easier on the shoulder. I did some more shooting today, will post some more shots soon.

How painful these images are...

I just sold mine today :-( to free some cash to buy either 24-70 or 28-70 and 420EX and save the rest to upgrade from my 20D to a used 1Ds in the (near) future :-)

Hope I made the right decision.

I don't see what the big deal is...........my 50 f1.4 can capture just as good, IF NOT BETTER shots than these.....
