A quick shot of my car driving up to the cottage - just beat the rain (and the slew of trucks flying down the road!)...

I think that when I pick up a new car for my wife I will get one of these. I'm sick of her driving boring cars. She loves the Mazda 3 sedan, but I think I can convince her into a hatch.

It is a truly amzing and fun car to drive. It's definitely the most fun-to-drive car I've owned (other fun ones included VW GTI VR6, Audi A4 1.8T quattro, Dodge Stealth R/T turbo). I just wish it had all wheel drive sometimes!

My finacee and I have a 05 white 3 hatch, love it, great sexy cars. Nice shot, the wide angle kinda makes the car look squished to me though. I might be seeing things though.

That's one of the first things I said when the new WRX came out, the side profile of the two is very similar, front and back, not so much, the 3 still looks better imo.

:(
Some reckless kid thought it would ok to not remove the ice and snow from his tank of an SUV, and rammed into me at a red light. Hope you don't mine me adding the photo.

Hows the performance of the car?
First off, ouch to the above photo!!!
As for performance, it's really quite something. The downside is it loses it's breath after about 5500rpm, and it's VERY easy to exceed the speed limit in this thing. The handling and braking are unreal. Even with the stock exhaust, it sounds great too. I have a few little mods that help it breath and shift even better. Most fun car I've owned and in the top 5 of cars I've ever drive (which include a Viper and slew of Porsches!)

Ouch indeed :(
And +1 to everything you said. The Speed3 is a real surprise to people who either don't know what it is or have never driven one before. Its definitely a top performer for the price.
DrMitch what's your mod list?

Hopefully you're car will be on the mend and back in shape!
As for mods, so far a CP-E Cold Air Intake, TWM short throw shifter and CP-e engine mount, Enkei rim. A downpipe and possible catback exhaust are in the works for next summer.

Nice setup, I got my stuff right before COBB came out with theirs  You must have fun in the mountains! Ever get to Pike's peak? I drove out there a few years ago with my A4 quattro, but it was closed due to weather :(
Check out torontomazda3.ca
Would you mind if I posted a pic of your poor baby there? There have been a number of 3's and speed 3 knocked out of action this winter!

Yeah, I'm on the forum and I have a 3. Don't mod my car anymore, but I still go to the forum daily. Mainly hang out in the lounge and ask questions in the photography thread.
