These relics of yester-year now sit idle in a field near my home. I can't drive past without wondering about the history of both the machine, and the people who owned them. I can just see and hear one farmer, dressed in overalls, telling his neighbor about "this great time-saving piece of equipment I just bought...." I wonder what they would think of todays farm equipment.... air conditioned tractors with telephones, cd players, two-way radios, gps, multi-tag discs, plows and planters, etc. which allow one man to work many acres of land a day. Quite a leap from the days of these old machines.

That's neat. In Alberta we have a lot of "junk" like that sitting around in fields too, every time I see it I always wonder what it must have been like. My favorite is checking out old pioneer homes, usually when I do, unfortunately I dont have a camera.

I can't drive past without wondering about the history of both the machine, and the people who owned them. Me, too. Obviously those are from a different era since they're not up on blocks with the wheels removed! ;-)
