The first they were taken individually and the second was one shot.

Actually they were very well behaved. I don't know how the parents did it.

You did a great job merging, and it looks like you did a great job directing them too! I enjoy the poses very much. I might add a touch more contrast though, personally. ;)

Sorry for taking so long to respond...

They were all cute as can be. Honestly merging these was pretty easy. If you are shooting in a rather controlled environment the BG should be very easy to merge together. (Don't change the lighting.) ;) Also, I blended them using masks.

Cool Shots, How old were the girls? Not all the same age? Looks like they were fun to work with. :)

I believe they were 9 to 6. They really lit up when my wife pulled out a box with feather boas! :)

Too cool. I have boys myself and most of my shooting is equine events, so not too many ops for little girls with feather boas. Beautiful work. :) Hmmm, maybe should get my nieces together sometime. Giving me ideas for family photos. :)

I will do so at some point. I dont' do much for indoor shooting , at least not as of yet. Need to study up on lighting and the like. ;) I'm more apt to catch my kids outside playing in the dirt... Well, right now it'd be in the snow! LOL

Thank you. That is one of my kids. LOL. I'm not sure where to post horse pics on this forum though. I didn't see any subsections for that. Wildlife, birds, pets.....Any idea where they might fit best on here?

Thank you, noticed you'd been here for a good while and thought you may be a good one to ask. :) And Woo Hoo, finally got 30 posts. Wasn't too bad to do after all and I'm having fun looking at everyone's work. I'm a member of EPNET so mostly been looking at horse and related photos. It's nice to see such a variety here.

DarcieWe are glad to have you (if I can speak for POTN)! The mods are nice and do a great job keeping this forum the way it is. BTW, how you like your BIGMA?

I do like it, and absolutely would love to hang onto it. I used it for shooting between two showrings at a dressage and jumper show this fall. It was great for getting me enough distance and still a nice sharp lens although heavier than I expected. I used it on a monopod. Nice for liberty shoots with the horses where a bit more distance is advantageous. Definately a sunny day lens. I find myslef grabbing my 70-200 more often though, bit quicker focus for what I'm doing. I do think though it would be awesome for wildlife shooting. Hubby has been on me to sell it to pay some bills this month and although I really don't want to , it's looking like I may have to. Only a few days left. I'll run a end of the year sale though and hopefully generate enough in sales to avoid selling it. :) If not, you will more than likely see it for sale here, maybe on ebay. I avoided selling it last time around. Just praying I can pull it off again. :)

Darcie I have heard that lens is a love or hate it lens. I think mainly due it being a "sunny day" lens. ;)

Yep,
I would love to see it in a 2.8. That would make a world of difference. But, I suppose we can't have everything...although it would be nice. ;)

Thank you Katie, and yes I understand what you mean. ;) I did them by how tall they were in the top. The bottom makes them all look the same age.
