i live in halifax not nova scotia but yorkshire(uk).after searching the internet for old photos of my town,i found this (http://lunettesrouges.blog.lemonde.fr/files/brandt_4.jpg)
taken by the famous photographer bill brandt in 1937,of the railway bridge at dean clough.
so this morning i took a walk down there to see if it was still there some 71 years later, apart from the rain the place has not changed.
although my photo is slightly different,i am just amazed the view has not changed.well apart from the litter!!

thanks for looking

It hasn't changed much at all really.
A couple of trees in the later one, and surprisingly what appears to be a cable of sorts in Bill Brandts shot which isn't there in yours. I was even looking at the cobbles to see if I could spot differences!

cheers
