what strikes me as a bit odd is the whole head is in focus and just seems to be resting on whatever the surface is with no discernable neck or body anchoring it

almost like it just dropped off and fell onto the couch :confused:

compared to the other it looks a bit dark & rough
but the angle is still odd, altho now i can see her neck

shes a cute kid, is that her natural eye colour? cos its quite aqua

Thanks. it is tough critiquing my photos of my own children because I just see the cute expressions instead of the technical flaws.

maybe if you cropped it closer to her face & got rid of her back and that piece of furniture behind her it would work better - it is a cute shot

Just my personal preference, but I don't care for the blue eyes. I think I'd prefer either all color or all b&w.
